Cities

Bloedserieus organises blood collections twice a year in six major university towns and cities.

Who are Bloedserieus?

Bloedserieus wants to help students to become aware of giving blood and plasma. Young people are the future, and that applies to donating blood and plasma too. Every year, approximately 10% of donors drop out in Flanders, because they’ve reached the age limit or have become ill, for example. Bloedserieus helps in the search for new, young, lively blood.

Our story

The seeds of our success were planted 26 years ago in Leuven. What started as a small-scale initiative has grown over the years to become a major event in numerous towns and cities with a large student population. Each academic year, we manage to persuade more than 18,000 students to give blood.
